Powderham Terrace, Teignmouth, DEVON | Regency Restoration Project | Autumn 2022
Dart Decorators worked hard to bring this elegant Regency Terraced Property back to it's former glory.
Dart Decorators undertook extensive remedial restorative works, (in addition to the complete re-decoration of the property) including; comprehensive fungicidal scrub, jet-wash, extensive masonry repairs, extensive metal restoration to the exposed railings, soffit repair work, fascia repair and replacement, extensive sill repair work.
Using a superb product from our local team of paint experts, we used Dulux Maximum Exposure. It has up to 5 x more flexibility than regular masonry paint, tested on lighthouses it has excellent resistance to salt water exposure, protecting the building and resisting any future masonry damage from the extreme coastal elements.
For the extensive masonry repairs we used a selection of Toupret products including; Touprelith-F and Toupret Humi-Block both with excellent damp resistant technology, to help this building last for many years to come.
The Regency Era | History
Properties dating back to regency times (The Regency era of British history officially spanned the years 1811 to 1820, though the term is commonly applied to the longer period between c. 1795 and 1837) often had embellishments in the form of wrought iron balconies. Think of the Regency style as Georgian-with-flourishes.
